General
Junior coaches need support. Please have your players to go straight to coaches NOT parents at game breaks.
Fixtures are hard to create, and any changes affect everyone - requests for time changes will only be considered for something really important, not clashes for teammates
Fill ins
Fill-ins MUST be from a division OR age group below. If you need a fill in from a team in your division, contact the teams coordinator (players@parksidenetballclub.org.au) and ask for an exemption. This needs to be done before the match.
Examples:
U13 Div 1 can play for U15 Div 3 as it's a lower age group
U11 Div 1 can NOT play for U11 Div 1 or 2 without an exemption
There is a minimum age requirement for each age group. If outside of these, and exemption must be sought prior to playing, and written parent consent is required.
The minimum ages are:
U11 – 9yrs
U13 – 11yrs
U15 – 12yrs
U18 – 14yrs
U20 – 14yrs
You can NOT have fill-ins from other DNA clubs.
If your fill in is not a Parkside player, they or their parent must register them for one match on Netball Connect. This covers their insurance and ensures match records are correct. The player should be selected by the TM in Netball Connect for that match.
One player can fill in for one team a maximum of three times. If that player is needed a fourth time an exemption is required.
Grading games count towards the three game limit.
Players can fill in for multiple teams across the season as long as it's not the same team for more than three matches (without an exemption)/
There is a minimum of 5 players on the court to constitute a game
Further information can be found in Sections 7 and 9 of the Darebin Netball Association ByLaws, found here.
Male players/ Mixed Competition
All age groups are a mixed competition except for the 18 & Under Female competition
There are different rules for male players at different ages
Males 12 years and younger are considered genderless, so no restrictions apply. This rule applies to the player and not the age group they are playing in.
For males aged 13 and older:
15 & 17 & Under - there must only be two males on court at one time AND there must only be up to one male in each third on court at any one time
18 & 20 & Under - there can be up to three males on court at one time AND there must only be up to one male in each third on court at any one time
Further information can be found in Section 8 of the Darebin Netball Association ByLaws, found here.

Umpires
Umpires can be under the age of 18, and if they are they will wear a green wrist band/scrunchie. Umpires under the age of 18 MUST NOT be approached by Team Managers or Coaches. A Court Supervisor or senior umpire can be approached for discussion on an issue – they will be wearing bright green vests.
The team Captain can approach the umpires at an appropriate break in play to seek clarification on a rule, but not to question or discuss a decision.
Any player concerned can also approach the umpire for clarification of a rule.
Uniform
Parkside uniform is available through Netball Connect. Once you have completed your order contact the Uniform coordinator (Eleanor – eleanorvet@yahoo.com.au) to arrange collection of your order.
