Saturday Competition

Parkside Netball Club participates in the Darebin Netball Association competitions, located at The Darebin Community Sports Stadium, 857 Plenty Road, Reservoir.

Games are played on Saturday mornings, with the senior teams playing in a Wednesday night competition. All teams are assigned a coach and train weekly. Our junior teams include Under 9's (minimum age Grade 2), Under 11's, Under 13's, Under 15's and Under 17's. We also have an Open Team playing in the Wednesday night competition.

The Association runs two seasons, the Autumn season runs throughout terms 1 and 2, and the Spring season through terms 3 and 4.

If you are interested in joining our club as a team (8-9 players), please contact us and we will respond to you directly.

If you are registering as an individual please contact us with details of your child’s date of birth, their school, current netball experience and any friendship connections they may already have within the club.  We will do what we can to accommodate players into appropriate teams based on their age, ability, prior playing experience and team dynamics. In the meantime they are welcome to join our Rookie Training Program to get them training before the season starts.

NetSetGO

Parkside Netball Club offers a NetSetGO program each year for those looking to learn the basics of netball in a fun environment. Girls and boys from Prep to grade 3 can participate in the NetSetGO program.

In 2019, over 60 children enjoyed NetSetGO during Term 3 and 4 on Friday afternoons at Fairfield Primary School. Fees were $70 for the season, included registration with Netball Victoria and a T-shirt, ball and medal.

The NetSetGo program will recommence in 2021 in Term 3. Parent helpers are crucial to the success of our program, so please contact us if you are able to help out.

Rookie Training Program

If your child is interested in playing mid-season and we can’t accommodate you in a team, we offer a Rookie Training Program, specifically for new members that we can't currently fit into a team.

We allocate the new member to an appropriate team to train with for the remainder of the current season, developing new skills and giving the individual a feel for the club without the commitment of uniforms. There is a fee of $50 for the season to cover insurance. There may also be the opportunity to fill in on a Saturday if the team is short, although we cannot confirm a playing spot.

If you are interested in this program please contact us and provide details of age, ability and prior playing experience.
